Coaching Staff

ADAM MOLANO

DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

Adam, along with his wife Alecia, is the co-founder of Full Range.

Adam began his journey with CrossFit in 2009, following a hiatus from his years of high school and college wrestling (he was a high school All-American, and graduated from Brown University in 2007).  Adam has been a strength and conditioning coach since 2011, and since then has coached and designed programs for hundreds of athletes.

His duties at the gym include directing programs for all of our training groups, something in which he takes great pride, and is ALWAYS trying to analyze, improve, and progress.

Outside of the gym, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, live music, good books, and fantasy football.

ALECIA MOLANO

“I have been actively participating in CF style training for almost 5 years.  I have been coaching and personal training for 3+ years.  I have my Level 1 Cert, USAW, and have attending various skill sessions including a gymnastics seminar with Carl Paoli.

Honestly, I was never planning to be a CF coach, never-mind owner!  I fumbled my way through my 20s trying to figure out the right fit for me and when I discovered CF the pieces fell into place.  I was passionate again, I saw peoples lives change both physically and mentally and I knew I wanted to be a part of bringing a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle to people who seem to crave it.

My goal and the goal of my partner Adam is to stay on the forefront of this industry, to keep educating ourselves and those that work for us so that we can provide the best experience to those that walk through our doors. ”

MATTHEW QUINN

COACH

Matt Quinn is a former division one quarterback with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from UMASS Amherst, who initially pursued Crossfit to maintain a competitive edge following graduation. After earning his CF-L1 certification, he began training with Adam and Alecia, and has been a coach with Full Range for over two years.

In addition to being an accomplished athlete and active member of our Competition team, Matt is preparing for medical school, a passion fueled by his understanding of the profound impact that fitness and wellness can have on an individual’s life. His calm, methodical coaching style is rooted in the belief that the confidence gained through effort and investment in the gym is applicable to so much more than athletic performance, and his goal is to ensure that he provides members with the tools and knowledge necessary to reach their fitness goals.

In his own words: “I aim to make a member’s class with me and the rest of the Full Range community the best hour of their day, and strive to educate each member; empowering them to be their own best coach. Whether it be introduction to a new movement, technique refinement, or just the extra push toward a PR, I truly enjoy the opportunity to help each member progress on their journey towards health.”

Matt has recently been accepted to Brown University’s Alpert Medical School, where he will begin his studies toward becoming an orthopedic surgeon.

BRAYN BOZA

COACH

Brayn has been a coach at Full Range since 2013, and currently heads our Olympic Weightlifting program.

“In a former life, I was a “global gym lifter” and I did Brazilian jiu-jitsu with a little Muay Thai.

While doing MMA and global gym lifting, I was challenged by a teammate who owned a CF gym to try CF. I took one class and immediately felt like I was going to throw up. I was hooked from there.”

I have always been passionate about health and wellness since I was a teen. Growing up I was a little chubby and as soon as I had control, I made a vow to always live healthy and take care of my appearance (minus my massive sweet tooth that seems to be a barrier lol). I currently train [with the FR Competition Team] 4-5 times/week, and count my macros religiously (I work with Team WAG coaching for that).”

“Although I like to have fun and dance around in class, I take coaching very seriously so that members in my class get the most from their experience and avoid injury at all cost.

Coming off two major injuries and surgeries within the last year, my personal goals are to be better than I was prior to my injuries but with more caution to listening to my body. I would like to get back into Oly meets as I get stronger.

Anyone who has taken my class definitely knows I get down with the gangster rap or house music.

Outside of the gym, I am a full time baker and when I’m not doing that, I’m hanging out with my three bull terriers and my wife, Chrystal.”

JOSHUA BLASBALG

COACH

A self-proclaimed overweight teen, Josh has worked hard to change his approach to nutrition and exercise, adopting sustainable habits and losing 100 pounds in the process! He found CrossFit in 2011 while searching for conditioning methods to supplement his martial arts training, and was immediately hooked by the intensity and diversity. After a family member told him that he’d inspired her weight loss, Josh knew that he wanted to pursue a career in fitness and health, working to help achieve their goals.

Josh joined the Full Range family in 2013, training with the staff as he earned his CFL1 and Opex LC1 certifications. Now a full-fledged coach, Josh is currently pursuing additional OPEX certifications and plans to develop his love of coaching and CrossFit into a full-time career: “I love working with our athletes, and really believe that I learn as much from them as they do from me! Nothing beats the look on a member’s face when a movement clicks—-being a part of that is an amazing feeling.”

When he’s not coaching our night classes, you can usually find Josh on the water or riding his motorcycle. Ask him about his adorable corgi, his back squat PR, and his favorite live shows!

JAKE MARCONI

COACH

Jake Marconi is a lifelong athlete whose first experience with CrossFit occurred during his sophomore year of high school, when a conversation with his football coach about ways to bring the team’s training to the next level led to a collaboration with a local CrossFit box. CrossFit’s logical, varied-intensity programming, added an edge to the team’s performance, and Jake’s experience training with his teammates on and off the field helped him realize that his passion for athleticism lay in the process itself.

In addition to being our newest (and youngest!) coach, Jake is a member of Full Range’s Competition team, where his dedication to consistency and constant improvement propelled him to a 94th place regional finish in the 2016 CrossFit Open. A formidable athlete with his eye on the 2017 Regionals, Jake brings his enthusiasm for training, team spirit, and positive attitude to our Fundamentals and regular classes. Jake holds a CFL-1 certification and is currently a full-time student, completing a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurial studies at Johnson and Wales University with plans to pursue a career in the wellness industry. When he’s not training, he’s hitting the trails or the slopes, or catching up on the next great book. Ask him about his go-to gym beats, where to find the best donuts in Providence, and his first time competing at Wodapalooza!

ALANNA MANIATIS

COACH

Alanna was a two-sport athlete in high school (Field Hockey & Ice Hockey), Captained Junior and Senior year. Went on to play two years of Field Hockey at the Division 1 level at Providence College. After making the tough decision to move on from the sport of Field Hockey, she now trains competitively in CrossFit.

“Before I entered high school I was seeking a way to build some strength to be a better athlete. I attribute CrossFit for making me a better, stronger and more aware athlete. Not only has it sharpened my abilities, but also my reaction time and ability to adapt. Not to mention the community, through which I have met some of my best friends and people who have helped me grow and become a better person.”

“No matter what else is going wrong in life you always have the ability to better yourself through moving you body and eating the right things. Sport has always been my anchor when things were not going great. I want to be able to spread this joy of fitness and help everyone who walks in the door find their capabilities. I can honestly say that the most joy I have ever felt was not by a personal best, but rather when an athlete I have been coaching accomplishes something they never thought they could.”

JON JANTON

COACH

“Fitness has always been a part of Jon’s life, whether running a 5K race, practicing martial arts, weightlifting, or performing backflips wherever possible. Then he found Crossfit in 2012 and he loved both the intensity and variety that Crossfit had to offer, from gymnastic movements to Olympic lifts.

As a coach, it is Jon’s objective to ensure proper form and technique is being followed during all workouts. His goal is to motivate and encourage members to do their best and have them shatter walls they never thought they could!

Outside of the gym, Jon loves spending time with is wife (met through Crossfit) and three beautiful children, a good book, golfing, snowboarding and traveling (he went to China!)
Jon has a Bachelors degree from Rhode Island College in Computer Information Systems and is always researching the latest tech.”
