Our Approach

Our mission at Full Range is to build a community of education and support, with goals of removing limitations, expanding our abilities, and balancing fitness and health. We pledge to our clients to utilize the best available methods in helping them reach their fitness goals.

We do this by focusing our training on functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running, and jumping), at a wide variety of speeds, loads, and intensities.  This means that, instead of rows of spin bikes and weight machines, our gym is full of barbells, kettlebells, pull-up bars, jump ropes, plyo boxes, climbing ropes, dumbbells, and plenty of open floor place.

More importantly, our gym is full of experienced, passionate coaches that are here to teach you how to move, breathe, and accomplish things that you never thought possible.  At Full Range, we stress the importance of movement mechanics, and consistency, so that you can continue to progress in your strength and fitness for years to come — not burn out, or plateau after a few weeks or months.

Along with this, we aim to foster a community of people that are committed to challenging themselves on a daily basis, and to supporting others along the way.  You will not find any big egos or a hyper-competitive environment here — just people trying to be the best versions of themselves, coaches working to help them (who are on the same journey as well), and a workout experience that is effective, enjoyable, and different every day.

We are never done learning or growing.

 We try to reflect that in our gym by constantly working to improve and refine our methods, equipment, and coaching skills.  

Every person that walks through our doors is an individual, and with that has their own goals, their own history, and their own ideas about what fitness is to them. We honor that by working first to educate our clients about fitness, nutrition, and how to implement these things into their lives in a sustainable, lasting way. 

In fitness, as in life, we believe that growth happens with the right balance of support and challenge.  Our goal is to provide this to all of our clients, every day, no matter what.

We started Full Range in 2012 with the goal of bringing people all the great aspects of functional fitness – strength, endurance, and everything in between – without the limitations so often seen in group fitness: too much intensity with too little coaching, no thought behind the workouts, overuse injuries, and hyper-competitive environments.

As husband and wife, Providence residents, small business owners, and now proud parents of two feisty boys, our focus is on the life-long pursuit of fitness, health, and longevity, and to have the physical and mental strength to handle all that life might throw our way.  Our gym is an extension of this, as well as our collective love for athletics and an active lifestyle.  

We love to coach, teach, and connect with others through movement, positivity, and shared challenges. If you ever want to know more about what we do, our door is always open!
